You've probably heard it 10x already but today REALLY is the first day of your 365 page story of 2015. Take a minute and think about that. No matter how good or bad your 2014 was, 2015 can be better. When I let that thought sink in, it really excites me! I'm committed to making 2015 my BEST YEAR YET...and I think 2014 had some pretty amazing highlights. So, I have some work to do.
In 365 days from now, I want to look back on 2015 and say that my year was filled with health and happiness because of the choices I made. Life sometimes throws us curveballs but that doesn't mean we can't CHOOSE to be happy.
This year, I want to focus on my health and happiness. When I talk about health, I am talking about mental, spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial health. It all goes together and can either work for you or against you. I am looking forward to sharing my 365 day journey with you all and hope in some way I can inspire someone to live a happier, healthier, more fulfilling life in 2015!
DAY 1
We started our day at my parents' house and woke up to a homemade breakfast from my mama. She made us french toast and sausage. I can't tell you the last time I ate french toast but it was DELISH! I almost always have my shake for breakfast but it was nice to switch it up for a change. I love spending time with my parents and watching them enjoy our son, Nico.
George (my hubby) and I then took some time to talk about our goals for 2015 when we got home. There are some EXCITING things going to happen for the Burns family this year and I can't wait to see everything unfold. George got straight to work on our house (one of his goals) and I unrolled my yoga mat for a workout (one of my goals). Nico crawled around while I did my workout and snuck a few kisses in when I was doing down dog. He seriously melts my heart. Then I had my post workout treat! George and I have been nourishing our system with Shakeology for 8 months now and we both can't imagine going a day without.
I got in a few snuggles with little man...
And then worked on my health and fitness business a little. I now need to go get a shower (a little late , yes....but better late than never!) and then I'm going to treat myself to a pedicure. I NEED ONE, BAD!
I'd say this has been a great start to 2015. I'm looking forward to sharing health tips, recipes, motivation, and my life with you over the next 364 days. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
XO
Heather
