I just had a MAJOR non-scale victory this weekend that I HAD to share with ya'll!
I used to live by what the scale said (weighed myself every.single.day and would let that dictate my mood) . Is that you now? My friend, IT IS SO UNHEALTHY! So, please STOP! I know how bad this can be so I make it a point and LOVE celebrating non-scale victories with my monthly challengers. Seeing and hearing their non-scale victories is by far MY FAVORITE! So why not share one of my own with you!
These shorts are from high school cheerleading (say CHEER on the butt...lol) and are THE most comfortable things that I don't think I could possibly ever part with them BUT this morning I realized they were practically falling off of me!
I took my "BEFORE" postpartum pic at the heaviest I have ever been in my life (I was pushing 180 at full term) in these shorts. I chose these because they were the only shorts I had and felt somewhat comfortable in. (I now wear shorts REGULARLY...which is such a HUGE change! See THIS post for some more inspiration) I remember these shorts being so tight and hugging every inch of my body.....BUT today they are literally falling off!

This means THE WORLD to me that I can not only FEEL and SEE a change without having to rely on a # on a scale. I tell my challengers that we don't buy clothes according to our weight. We buy them according to our inches. SO, either throw that scale away or hide it and start focusing on what REALLY matters.
1. DO YOU FEEL GOOD?
2. DO YOUR CLOTHES FIT DIFFERENTLY?
3. HAVE YOU IMPROVED AT ALL FROM DAY 1 OF STARTING YOUR JOURNEY? THEN CELEBRATE THAT!
I wanted to share some of my April Challengers NON-SCALE victories with you because they literally made me SQUEEEEEEEEEL with excitement...
Challenger Heather: "Non Scale Victory!! I went hiking today! Doesn't seem like much but to me it's huge. After having complete ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair, I honestly didn't think I'd ever be able to do stuff like this again."
Challenger Rachael: "NSV would be wearing the zip up leather boots that my legs wouldn't fit in 2 months ago, and having family and hubby notice me shrinking in size."
Challenger Emily: "My NSV is having my clothes feel loose on me! My jeans are too loose!"
Challenger Summer: "My NSV is FINALLY getting under 150lbs!! And I wore shorts yesterday and didn't feel embarrassed or uncomfortable at all!"
Challenger Krystal: "My NSV would be in increase in self esteem and confidence."
AH!! I seriously get butterflies reading these and the hundreds of others!!! <3
What is 1 NON-SCALE victory you can celebrate today?!
