As I was rounding the corner of the mountain to head back to my car, I noticed a bunch of people walking up and down these "stairs" with what looked like hiking sticks. When I got closer, I realized these were visually impaired men and women.
With tears streaming down my face, I watched them in amazement and thanked God for my vision to see such a beautiful site.
I went up to one of the instructors to tell him how amazing this was to see and how inspired I was and to thank them for the beautiful moment. He told me they are preparing for a hike into the Grand Canyon. Wow. Just wow.
This was such a humbling experience to remind me to not make excuses when it comes to things that seem hard and sometimes impossible. DETERMINATION AND BELIEF IN YOURSELF CAN GO A LONG WAY. If these beautiful people persevere through life without vision, I have no excuse not to face life every day with the same perseverance.
What's your excuse? I know I don't have any anymore.
